What you can expect

Throughout the academic year, we work on developing individual disciplines of the performing arts craft, nurturing and bringing the best out of our pupils in an independent and mindful way. Skills learnt cover a wide range of elements, that all piece together nicely to result in a confident and professional performer.

These vary from acting techniques, vocal training, stamina and choreography, right through to stage craft, resilience, confidence and teamwork. Not only this, but our students will enhance further in other areas such as creativity and pick-up skills.

We believe in inspiring and encouraging our students to set and achieve their goals, and we feel that taking exams in something they are passionate about can not only be rewarding but beneficial for their futures too. These are not compulsory, but for those children who want to, we can provide support and opportunities to progress throughout Trinity College London examinations.

Many of the syllabus requirements fit in well with the work our members already take part in on a weekly basis, and can help to motivate them to push themselves further. Trinity exams are recognised worldwide by educational and working professional institutes.

They represent an outstanding opportunity for our pupils and a great way to recognise all of their continuous efforts and hard work. There are various grades of exam to work through, both in musical theatre and drama.

"Being in Senior Musical Theatre Co and part of this professional supportive company has enabled her to grow in confidence and character. Together with the skills she continues to learn, I cannot underestimate the positive impact KTCo has had and continues to have."

Sarah Gray – Parent of Senior Dance, Musical Theatre & Accelerate Student

"I go to musical theatre, ballet, tap and jazz classes at Kristian Thomas Company. I really enjoy going to all of the classes; they're fun, I learn so much and the teachers are kind and positive. I didn't realise I would love musical theatre as much until I performed in my first show with KTCo (Sound of Music); it was fun, exciting and I made lots of new friends. KTco helped me with my singing, dancing and acting. I can't wait to do more shows with them."

Daisy Peel – Primary Dance & Junior Musical Theatre Student

"The best training available from the best tutors there are. You couldn’t ask for a better environment for your child to explore the performing arts."

Jo Ross – Parent of Senior Musical Theatre Student

"The teachers are so supportive, they listen and lead by example. The teachers are so knowledgeable and talented themselves and they go above and beyond to develop and support everyone at their own level. Everyone is valued and welcomed there’s a lovely family feel to this dance company and I know my girls are proud to be a part of it."

Karen Browhill – Parent of Senior Dance & Musical Theatre Students

"I moved my daughter over to Kristian Thomas Company after trying another local performing arts group and I am so pleased I did. They offer a wide variety of classes, all taught by amazingly talented individuals, with an excellent ability to teach. My daughter loves being down at the studio and has made some lovely friends with like minded children who share her love for the arts. My daughter can be quite shy and timid, I wouldn't have thought she would have been one for the stage, but she absolutely loves it! She played the role of Gretl Von Trapp in The Sound of Music, her first taste of being part of a musical theatre performance and couldn't wait to perform to a live audience and with a live orchestra! Kristian Thomas Company are very much the reason she loves it so much; the support, high-quality teaching, welcoming environment and opportunities they offer their students are second to none."

Joanne Peel – Parent of Primary Dance & Junior Musical Theatre Student

"When we were looking for a new Musical Theatre program for our daughter it was important that, along with their skills in musical theatre, that the team offered a supportive environment and a true passion for the genre. We have not been disappointed at Kristian Thomas Youth Company. From Day 1 we have seen our daughter's confidence grow both in Musical Theatre and in other areas of her life. She is always ready to go and thoroughly enjoys every class. Myself and my husband enjoy being involved with the group also and I cannot fault the energy, time and attention to detail that goes into every show."
